Aberdeen thoughts from Lorrie
Lorrie writing here. This is my first blog entry. Watch out!
Just wanted to let everybody know that we’re doing well here in Aberdeen. Shelby has made a friend at Mawmaw’s church and just got her phone number Sunday so we can have some playdates. Friends mean the world to Shelbers. Also all the cousins were here this past Sunday afternoon for a family get together. There were 9 kids here, all 5 and under. Trey and Shelby had a blast. Shelby has 2 girl cousins that she just loves and they basically ran off and played all day - I barely saw Shelby. Trey has 4 boy cousins that are within 6 months of his age. It was really cute to get to see them play together and get to know one another. I greatly look forward to seeing them all grow up together.
We went to the Aberdeen library today and LOVED it. I like it better then our neighborhood library in Portland. It had a great kids room with stuff to keep Trey busy with while I read to Shelby. Good times. Shelby got to bring one library book home (only one because I’m a new library cardholder). She picked Dumbo and loves it. She’s sleeping with it right now.
One funny note: I was leaving the Family Dollar today pushing a buggy with Trey in the seat and Shelby standing on the front and, of course, my prego belly sticking out more and more everyday. Well, anyway, a lady saw me and said, “Whoa! You’ve got your hands full!” and then laughed. I laughed too. I thought I was doing pretty good. Everybody was happy and under control. I do kind of wonder where this 3rd baby is supposed to go……..any recipes for growing extra arms?
Still missing Portland, of course. We’re all very aware of the blessings that were given to us while we were there. God bless Portland.
Oh yeah! Another note: We are going to a interview tomorrow for a pastor position. Apparently it’s in the unwritten protocol that I am to attend. I’m a little nervous. I just want them to fall in love with J. (who wouldn’t?) and then see me as a little bonus. I’m going to try to keep my mouth shut. And look friendly. Smile a lot. Please pray for us.

praying for you guys.
and for baby #3: invest in a sling.
Heard you guys are at the second stage of the interview. Still praying for all of you. I know I’ve been quiet, but know that it’s not because you’re out of my mind. It’s just been a hard adjustment without all of you. It’s not a sharp pain, but more like a underlying longing. It’s been different without the Clarks. I think it still hasn’t fully hit me yet that you’re not on an extended vacation. N and I both miss Shelby and Trey a lot. I’m glad to hear that they’re having so much fun with their cousins.
