True and Undefiled Religion

James tells us in his epistle (James 1:27) that true and undefiled religion is to care for widows and orphans and to keep oneself unstained by the world.  He makes an essential distinction between authentic Christianity and all the charades of religion.  Only one kind is the real thing: the kind that demonstrates action preceding from genuine belief (One must believe what James says to do what James says).  Though James distinguishes two people groups on the fringes of society, anyone who refuses to care for those who cannot care for themselves (no matter the fringe group) has entered into an impure life where religion is but a charade.  James insist we have a compassion filled heart.

I would like to point to an opportunity to take care of “those who are afflicted.”   The unborn population has been trampled upon by our culture and society that refuses to believe in the unseen.  It would be better for a man to cast himself off the Empire State Building than to stand before the great and terrible judgement of our Lord when he must account for his evil deeds of false religion.  The Crisis Pregnancy Services of Central Mississippi is a shining beacon of light in our State.  They are standing on behalf of mothers and their children when no one else will.  Take some time to check out the website and ask what you can do.
